Does USA Trucking have per diem? If so, is it mandatory? Also, what would be their rate of per diem, (cents per mile)?

What was or is the average number of miles driven per week by the OTR drivers?

Per diem is optional. 2500-3000 miles per week . They run mostly east of IH35 but do have a few accounts west of 35 . No Canada

The miles for the company drivers are getting less and less, since they have been giving the O/O's and the L/P drivers all the good loads. Company drivers are getting the left overs.

That's kind of a stretch with only 200 oo and 1400 company trucks I don't think the owner ops could take all the loads

Didn't say that they were taking all the loads, company drivers are being used to babysit the loads that have short miles with actual delivery appointments, which equals more time sitting. For example, sometime last night, one of the load planners assigned me a load, that could pick up at 1200 today (6/16/17) in Aberdeen, MD. the load went 733 miles to somewhere in IL. with a live unload appt. set for 6/19/17 at 1630. Which would have only given me 2093 miles for the week. Was able to call my DM this morning, and going thru the chain of command, was able to get that load taken off me, and will now end up with about 2800 miles for the week, and be able to get a 34 hr reset in.

Actually with the new load board option for the O/O's, the short loads are the ones being taken by them. Short loads pay more than long loads. 300 or less miles pays way more than 500 or more. The O/O's are running 2 short KC loads a day and making $1000

I have only been on the board for two weeks here but at interstate on thier board and here I would agree that I am not running loads or miles that would interest a company driver paid by the mile
