Wow you are way to concerned about the blitz, you'll do fine just keep that paperwork in order...

I only worry about vehicle inspections because I've never had one. Paperwork is the easy part. I've had a paperwork/logbook inspection on a hazmat load and passed.Once I get a full vehicle inspection under my belt I'll feel better.

Well you can ask for a voluntary level 1...also make sure you get the truck washed, it helps. Also check under your trailer and make sure your leveling valve is not leaking, that's the only finding I've ever had.

    Zata40 Thanks this.

So, updates since my last post almost an hour ago... I was posting from inside Denny's. Had a brake chamber replaced on this trailer on Thursday. Now I'm getting a brake chamber replaced on the truck... or fixed... whatever happens when roadside service gets here. Luckily my hazmat load doesn't pickup until tomorrow afternoon.

I have to say, the "over the road" support here at Magnum is absolutely stellar. Reassuring, quick, helpful. That goes for during and after hours... I've been helped during both. Getting something fixed and paid for has been very easy for me. I have no reason to believe this experience will be different.

Also don't keep anything on your dash. I have had several DOT officers tell me that other than the obvious stuff trucks with stuff on their dash is who they pick if they are picking randomly.

For a company with as new equipment as Magnum has, ya'll sure have a lot of brake chambers go bad. Even with Poly's high quality equipment, I don't think I had 1 bad chamber there in over 2 years. Where do they buy their parts, Joe's salvage and pawn?

Ok smarty pants you're driving a Paccar still so your time may come... Utility did have some problems on the 14 trailers that have now been addressed, and I have heard of a few 15's with chamber problems I'm fairly sure ya'lls T680's have the same chambers...

God you're turning good miles now, though it is a bit weird to go this long without a good SSB rant :argue: :D

Not so much gloat as sharing the good news for a change. I'm sure a lot of people following these threads got sick of my hard luck stories...now at least it a positive story.

I have had 2 brake chambers replaced on my truck. The shop did say they were having issues with brake chambers leaking on the trucks that came from the factory.
Both of mine were under warranty.
