Believe what you want. I drive for a company where my average length of haul is 1500 miles. I start my day usually at 0200 or 0300 in the morning ( I might adjust my start time to avoid major urban areas peak rush hours). Ran 10.50 hours today 652.2 miles going through KCMO and St Louis (granted its Sunday) I could have put in 682 miles today, but stopped short for a place to park. I'm 4 hours outside of Nashville, I will get up at 0200 so I can beat Nashville morning rush. It's all about planning and working for a company that knows how to maximize your time.
The poor shlubz that still have there head in the sand thinking the mandate won't go into effect in December, will be in for a rude awakening, there is a learning curve to e logs for drivers, planners, and dispatchers. If you notice I drove 652 miles today and still have 32 minutes left to drive, so I'm not blowing smoke.

Believe what you want. This haul was 1600 miles, 5 stops, 5 cities. This was my first day that finished Friday afternoon, OR I could have sat on the third stop ALL F WEEKEND, got stuck in a giant blizzard, like one of the ones that's so big they name it. Instead I outran it. In fact went all the way up International Falls, reloaded, then outran it to Akron. Maybe a couple of dollars too.

Yeah you can do those miles without stopping! It's simple numbers 692 divided by 11 hours is 62 652 divided by 10.50 is 62 there's no time for stopping you run ragged if you want to that's crazy to not have time that take a piss break or maybe some coffee and you can't run into any traffic jams either and you get to a reciever and you run out of time and they tell you to get off the property then you have no drive time. And don't say off duty driving because you can't use that either for those purposes ELDS suck plain and simple and there is some exceptions to the rules 2000 and older is exempt anyone with 5 trucks or less will be exempt until 2018 done been to the meeting as I am a company owner with 3 trucks and it was required training for me as an owner

I don't run my self ragged, I have a 14 hour clock, I stop and relieve my bodily fluids, take showers, eat a sit down meal, etc. About 5 years ago I saw the writing on the wall of what was coming down the pike, I had to make a decision to either adapt to the changing industry or go find a new way to support my family. I chose a company that predominantly does d/h if it's a live load/unload we are usually out in under two hours. So either adapt or die (get out if the industry). The supreme court won't waste there time with OOIDAS last ditch appeal effort, you can march on Washington DC, that won't make a difference.

Well Sammy steering wheel holder, when the technology comes available to make an e-log say anything you want it to, I'm certain everyone will post it on the internet, that way it will only take the government 20 years to get hip to it, instead of 40.

If you have to run that hard and that illegal to make a dollar, you are obviously doing something wrong.
