So I spoke with a recruiter from J&R Schugel last week and had another visit my school this morning. I am setup to attend orientation with them on July 24th after I am done with school. Seems like a very solid and driver friendly company. I can honestly say I feel like I will be making a good decision in making them my first choice of companies to begin my journey. They are rapidly expanding their customer base here in the Southeast and Florida so there is freight to get me home and out of here when I am ready to roll again. It seems like with them you are a person and not just a truck number.

I have read many different stories good and bad right here on TTR. If there is one thing I have learned throughout my research is that you get back what you put in. You go in with a bad attitude you are going to fail, you go in with a positive attitude you will succeed. I am looking forward to possibly becoming a "Skittle" or "Chiclet" as they are referred to.

According to my Facebook page they are recruiting heavily. Just don't get the purple KW.

LOL ... I do want a purple truck, its my favorite color. Funny story about that, I was talking with the recruiter at school earlier and mentioned I would want a purple truck, he blindly reached into his bag and pulled out a purple J&R Schugel pen and handed it to me. It is meant to be. He had every color of the rainbow of pen in there just like their trucks.

Just do is all a favor and don't act like the shugel driver I seen north of Lexington about a month ago. Guy was all over the road intentionally trying to mess with a Schneider driver. Weaving in and out of traffic, soaking in his brakes. I called his ### into the safety Manager and even sent them a video of the way he was acting. Was definitely not cool

Do not have to worry about that with me. Schugel seems to be very big on safety too, hopefully they get that idiot off the road.

Good luck to you, I have don't know anyone who has worked there so I'll be interested in how you like it. There is another thread on here and the OP had a purple truck that was a constant source of anger, and frustration.
Smart on their part to use Truck colors as a calling card and to give the driver a sense of ownership.

I will definitely document my journey here no matter where I end up, however I have a strong feeling it will be at Schugel. Everyone I have spoken with about the company, inside and outside, has had nothing but good things to say about them. The random negative review I have read was probably some idiot who went in with the wrong attitude. You always get out what you put in no matter what you do, that is something I learned early in my working life.
