Hey first i would like to say thanks to anyone that takes the time to give feedback.
So i am currently finishing up my second week of training with KRTS. if all flows well i should have my license in hand by mid june, I am in the hamilton ontario area, I am looking at my options for first carrier or potentially only one i may need, it seems hard to find any solid info on what the best carriers in the area are. all i know is my goal is to get into tanker, Does anyone know of a good carrier that would take on a new guy do dry van or whatever is needed until i can get into tanker, i have had a few company's come in while i was in class, mackinnon, Schneider, double d, Challenger, and i cant remember the last one weliend or something.
Also i would love any opinions or input on if you like tanker recommend it or an alternative

I'm in BC. So I don't know why you would have to do anything other than tanker to do tanker. I had 3 months experience driving class 1 before I got hired driving fuel. Maybe the rules are different there but I would just apply for tanker jobs if that's what you want. The way I looked at it I wouldn't want to roll a tanker over any more than I'd want to roll a load of manuer over. It's all about the respect for the load and the rig. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
Guinters Thanks this. -
Apply to Laidlaw tank... They're always looking for drivers and may take you.

Look up Tri-mac. Pretty sure they do tanks. Lots of good companies in the area. Im in Niagara and theres no shortage of work. Driving for Niagara Transit now but I really hate people so unsure if this will last, looking to get back into a cab to do some refresher time driving a non-auto..

Yes, Trimac does pull tanks. The are the largest bulk carrier in North America.

Been with challenger for almost a year, no complaints. Steady pay checks and good training. Lots of loads
