Unwritten rule? Most shippers, receivers, cops, other motorists and the general public think that you're a knuckle-dragging, semi-literate, pill popping, homicidal maniac who breathes through his mouth, slobbers a lot, and moves his lips when he reads,.
    Don't prove them right.

    Here's another unwritten rule:

I'd you are merging onto a freeway and another trucker moved over to give you free access to merge, DON'T leave that driver pinned in the hammer lane by speeding up to match or go faster than his speed. Return the favor. Stay slow enough that driver can get back in front of you and allow backed up traffic to clear before passing.

I drive an ungoverned truck. I don't care if Prime got over to let me in. I let him/her get back over and WAIT PATIENTLY for an opportunity to pass and set my cruise control at my normal 70 mph.

I hear you buddy had the same thing happen to me on a section of repair on the I-80 one lane closed you'd think the driver just behind me would let me merge? No way he'd never heard of the merge in turn principle then had the hide to get on the CB and tell everyone that i cut in front of him.

Thanks, but no thanks. I can do my own inspection, don't touch my equipment.
