The guy that screwed up my Galaxy 99 didn't even have a scope back in 2004 at Walcott. Nice inventory though...

As we all know the power needs to be increased 4 times to show a 1 s unit increase on the receiving station, so a stock 29 with 4 watt carrier and 16 watt pep would have to be increased to 16 watt carrier and 64 watt pep which obviously the mosfet upgrade falls short of achieving. Numerous cb shops like Bells will do a mosfet upgrade , but if you view some of his many videos, the 29's with the mosfet typically deadkey at 5 watts and have a pep of 23 to 28 watts, and all the 3 digit Galaxy radios ( 929,949,979) come stock with the 520 mosfet final and usually the most you can get out of them is mid 20 wattage pep, so it isnt even 2 times the power, not really worth it IMO, the reason manufacturers went to mosfets is cost not performance. If you want to step up to the 4 times power increase buy a Stryker 655 or 955 that come stock with 16 watt deadkey and 70 watt pep.

If he is happy with Walcot, then great, I bet he is and that's alright with me. He ain't selling anything other than one version of a mod.
As for some of the other crap, who cares. I am sitting here listening to my driver talking to someone in Ann Arbor, he is 30 miles between each other. It is pouring here right now, been a long day already.bored silly and wolverine11 Thank this. -
