Booked up through Tuesday morning. Each of them are from agents I've already used. Didn't even have to pull up the load board. By the time I'm done Tuesday I'll be at 2.03 per mile on all miles and have 18k in revenue for the month. Hoping to hit 20k in total revenue and keep it under 10k total miles. Other than the new caps I had on the trailer fail on me, it has been pretty smooth.

I'm on pace for a 20k month too. Right around 10k miles. So far so good for both of us.

Wish i could say that. This was a lost month for me. forgot how long it takes to switch out trucks. I didn't even pick up my first load of the month till the 16th. Been going good since then but with the holiday coming up ill have to cut it short and be looking to head home at the end of last week. I probably won't even gross 10k for the entire month of June.

I booked $7,150 in freight this week easy running 4 loads. Gunning to book $10,000+ next week. Thinking the short week after the 4th should be busy also. Actually curious to see how the rest of July pans out. Last year the reefer freight stayed busy for me all summer. Van dropped off to nothing as usual.

You never did mention why you got rid of your old one. Was that Freightliner mostly road ready or did you have to fix a lot of things?

My old truck was still good. I traded with a friend who is getting up there and only a few years from retirement and wanted a smaller truck. As far as roady ready i blew up 2 tires and greased the fifth wheel. So ya we are good. Note its an old truck so needs a bit of tlc, but sms to be pretty solid mechanically and sure does look better than that columbia.

For some reason I thought your old truck was a T600. Yeah its a good looking Classic definitely a step up from a Columbia.

Expediters think that way. They're dead set on fueling at the big boys, so they can get their showers. I can almost see that with the cargo van group, but not big rigs. If the mom n pop across from Love's is .30 cheaper, you're paying $30 more for 100 gals of fuel. That had better be some shower.

It's also about convenience. I would never consider fueling anywhere other than a big chain stop regardless if I was getting a discount or not. Wouldn't make any difference if there was a 30 cent per gallon price difference either. Pilot has always been my preference. Luckily we get a fuel discount at Pilot that's every bit as good as NASTC and/or other large carriers such as Mercer and Landstar pass on to their operators. I'm paying about $2 a gallon +/- a few pennies just about everywhere I fuel and I notice the pump price is usually around $2.40-$2.50 or so.

Haven't had an issue yet with showers. I fuel mostly at TA/Petro followed by AmBest. Both chains have shower credits and your typical rewards stuff. I haven't fueled at an Independent yet. When I look at prices on their app it is so close that I'm better off hitting up a Petro or AmBest and get the shower credit.
