Not a ford but a n61 Mack with a Mack 180 thermodyne and a triplex with sticks on top of the doghouse. The same little sleeper and about the same amenities

My very first was a Volvo that was rented from Rollins truck leasing. Super nice truck, had it for a month then they turned it in and bought a transstar II that had no power steering no ac and kinda had heat. Had a 400 cummins and a 13 double over and no governor. 55 MPH I still had one more gear. Truck was the fastest truck I had ever driven.

Mine was an A40 Mack, 707 c.i. gasoline engine with 5X2 duplex and of course no a/c, p/s, radio and the seat was solid just bolted to floor. You could pull throttle out all the way, lock it and get out and run around the truck when trying to go over Sugarloaf Mtn. in eastern Pa. Those were the days.

My first truck I drove was a Büssing 320 Unterflur in Germany.
Very special truck, the engine was underfloor on the right side of the frame behind the cab, lots of space in the cab and very quiet.
Had a 9 speed Eaton Fuller and 320 HP, don't remember exactly, but I think it was a 72.

Unfortunately I lost all the pictures of my first trucks, but here's a video on YouTube of this truck:

Edit: You have to click on Watch this video on YouTube

Second was a MAN 320 Unterflur with a 13 speed Eaton Fuller:

The first truck that was ever assigned to me as a solo driver was a 1978 Mack 9 yard concrete mixer, almost identical to this one. It was a forest green cab, tan frame and drum, and had the Maxidyne/Maxitorque 5 sp. setup. 20170626_011526.png

First semi I drove was a 1978 GMC Brigadier with a 318 Detroit and a 13 speed pulling a 28' summit aluminum dump. My Dad purchased them both new for a grand total of $52,000.

Those Brigadiers would beat you half to death.
I think they came with a Hendrickson suspension.
