    When will drivers for big companies eat and shower when their dispatcher gets up their ###? These rules are in place because most drivers don't have their own authority and get pushed to drive unsafe.

    If they don't have the nuts to tell dispatch they need to shower,eat or whatever they are spineless! I was on Elogs for about 6 weeks before I told them to stuff it! I stopped once to fuel,scale,shower and get food to go...about 45 minutes and my phone was blowing up from dispatch! That was my last load for them! They also would call and raise hell if you were not driving within 15 minutes of the 10 hour break being up. I'm a human,not a farm animal!

    Customers are already asking about implementation plans with some saying they will require documented proff of compliance. Had a bid (we didn't participate) that required full compliance NOW in order to participate.

    Looking at the FMCSA website of approved ELD units and guess what! About all of the ones in use are not on the list of being certified by the FMCSA....Qualcomm,People net,OmniTracs and the other larger brands are "self certified".....Looks like come December this will be a huge cluster!

    I see this as just a reason for these companies to sell more "updated" units and make billions more off the trucking industry!

    Also come December under the stricter rules each unit,truck and driver will be monitored by the FMCSA according to the new laws that were slid under the radar to go into affect with the mandate.

    No more ability for the company to edit anything. I don't see how the Feds are going to be prepared for this by then....I hope it all blows up in their face and the system crashes!

    The only reason for the Elog mandate is to prevent drivers from operating illegally.

    If you are operating legally then elogs are not an issue.

    If you march on DC protesting elogs then you are confessing your desire to continue to operate illegally.

    PERIOD....

    But these antielogists are ok with the current HOS as long as they don't have to obey them.

    And they all seem very vocal calling company drivers on elogs spineless for not standing up to their dispatchers,

    BUT they refuse to tell a shipper or receiver the load cannot be done legally and it needs to be rescheduled, thus looking spineless themselves.

    No more stopping at every exit for someone...

    You don't think drivers can run illegal on elogs?All the carrier has to do is edit. Its all about hob security for the ppl that make the elogs.
