I'm surprised you stayed as long as you did. It's a good place with good people but the bottom line makes it hard to stay.

I've got stuff in the works, too. It's just not time yet.

The hell...288 cases of raspberries rejected at Walmart Wintersville OH from Colton due to 14% leaky.

As far as I can tell all leaking means is that someone ripped into three cases and I'm missing 10 cartons. And all the other cartons I looked at aren't leaking...

 

That's just ridiculous and I feel your pain. Hopefully you get some hefty retention pay. I'm heading to grandview and I'm definitely going to be turning down any load offers from the place you're at, that's for sure.

 

Good thing I know how tap start a starter. The reefer is on start/stop and the starter is giving out. Reset it to continous and hopefully breakdown will let me get it fixed in Boise while I have time.

 

So, it turned out that the bolts to the solenoid had come loose. Which wasn't giving it a good connection. Tapping on the starter allowed to turn over with the loose connection. The tech showed me that and all I could was shake my head. The things we miss at 2am. I just tapped the starter, threw on continous, just told myself I will deal with in Boise. But they are giving it a good once over. They found that someone stole the air filter and it's been sucking dirty air. No telling when that was done.

 

Picked up our load from wcc to Sterling, I'll. Wal mart on Tues.They rejected 4 pallets of black berries due to leaking. Same thing happened on a load from wcc to Arcadia, Fl. about 2 months back, also black berries. I just can't understand the concept of wal mart refusing loads from essentially themselves! Extremely aggravating!

 

OS&D sold the load to a company in Chicgao, so I got another 400 or so miles plus stop pay and possible detention on the OS&D.

Speaking of Chicago, anyone pick up at Doumak before?

Anthony Marano in Chicago? That's where we took our berries on Wednesday. That place was a mad house in the early AM coming off of being closed for the 4th.
