So double time pay on the 4th holiday?

I get an extra $100 if I log a minimum 4hrs on duty on a holiday.

That's a very thorough pre trip.

 

I get $500 for Christmas whether I work or not. $200 for the other holidays. If I work those days I get whatever I make for the day, in addition to the holiday pay. But as someone else pointed out, the gooberment has their hand out, making it pointless to work

 

I got paid double time on the 4th. But im not a trucker

 

What happens if July 4 is on a Friday and I already have 56 hours in for the week and they ask me to work for 14 hours the Friday July 4? How much do I get?

 

i do believe that union shops will pay double time for working on holidays. this i know, cuz i did work for an LTL company that is union. but i worked linehaul and as such, we did not run out on holidays, and it was very rare that a city driver worked any holiday as well. but a road driver getting double the miles pay?

all i can say is, "keep the dream alive".

Why 6-8 holidays? Are not stat holidays annual?
Ontario we get 10 paid stat holidays. I also get a month paid holiday.
My suggestion at last company fell on deaf ears. They pay 8 hours holiday pay. WTF do truck drivers ever work only 8 hours. Most OTR drivers work around 12 to 15 hours
