I'm sure it's on this post somewhere but I really don't want to go through 349 pages of questions so with that being said my boss is leasing on two trucks the truck i drive and a truck my cousin will be driving as far as I know we are doing orientation in Texas (I wanna say forth worth) here are my few questions

what is the process for getting a elog installed?
what do we do about decals?

since my boss still has his authority we will be rolling up into the orientation center with our current company name on the door he doesn't want to deadhead 2 trucks well over a thousand miles so we will be pulling loads into the area that's all for now

I'm old school, so I know nothing about elogs. They'll give you or send your boss the LS decals you see on 50% of the trucks. You can also have them custom done if you want. You'll need to remove your boss' DOT number as well as any other MC, KYU, etc numbers. If you're leaving boss' company on the side of the truck, you'll need to put "leased to" over the LS decals. Boss should let his state's IRP department about change in insurance and authority needs to be canceled/revoked. They wouldn't let me go to orientation until Fed website was updated with revoked authority.

he isn't gonna let his authority expire until we are in orientation. so from the sound of it we will be sitting at a truck stop somewhere in the area until the authority expires. I'm sure Denise will tell him that at some point this is just mainly for myself

The qualcomm install is easy. They have a list of places that will install it. I had mine installed in Salt Lake City at ThermoKing. It took them about two hours and they did a good job.

As far as the decals go...have some self respect and pay $200 for someone to do it right. There's enough mailbox trucks out here.

Not sure about Ft Worth, but Jefferson,Ga uses a shop right down the street to install ELOG. Walking distance. They do it while you are in class.

When you going to be in Little Rock? I unload in Abilene TX Monday, then load one to Ohio. I will be thru LR Tuesday evening probably.

I like my mailbox truck for the last 8 years, and Obama said if I like it, I can keep it. Never mind he said that about my health insurance. A guy I used to run JD with had blended letters. The DOT man said during his level 1 that if he had realized it was a LS truck he never would have stopped him.
