Signals are always a must.I even use them in parking lots especially big ones.

Haha I agree, I had a trainer and the only time you would see him take it off in a 14 hour shift was for a split second to put on or remove his hat!

The bathroom sink is not your own personal bird bath.
Do not get half nekid, and sling water/toof paste, and other toiletries all over the counter.
Most drivers will give you an extra shower credit,if you ask,and they have some available.
Nothing wrong with using available resources, but the sink aint for Ho baths!
Also never look over at the old man rocking back in forth at the urinal next to you.
He's trolling and trying to get you to look at his beat up junk.

Please explain what you did a bit more.
Did you stay behind the double wide or get in front of him but be hind the pilot car? (New to getting a CDL)
In a 4 wheel I always thought it was illegal ( Orr at least unsafe) to get between the pilot car and the double wide?? I would go into the left lane to pass but never go to the middle lane till I was passed the pilot.
another thing I don't understand yet... on a 4 lane freeway in Houston. Why do truckers stay one lane from the far left lane? It makes it hard for 4 wheelers to get around slow people who want to drive in the left lane. It is also a bit scary when the left lane is right up by the wall and a trucker is one the left side of his lane.
I always try to move to the far side of the lane going by a trucker but when there is a wall on the opposite side, I can't move over too much.
Maybe when I'm actually on the road in a big truck I will understand the flip side of the coin.
Thanks for all the unspoken rules. I never knew about the "letting them back over in the right lane" I was always wanting to get down the road out of their way.

The left lane is restricted to trucks in Houston. The right lane is filled with people who do not know how to properly merge on and exit the interstate. Think getting through Houston traffic is difficult in a car? You are in for a rude awakening.

Statistics show only 20% of the driving public actually belong behind the wheel of anything larger than a riding lawn mower.

I understand why they are not in the far right lane... but we have 4 lanes. 2 middle lanes... and I know all about traffic. I just wondered why they would choose the left lane of the 2 middle lanes.

For safety and maximum flow, THRU TRAFFIC should stay left. The problem is the left lane restriction. If you aren't thru traffic, you really shouldn't go far left anyways, should you?

okiedokie and Highway Sailor Thank this.

I always go far left unless I know I will be getting off soon.. then I go far right. Now if I need to get around someone in the left lane who isn't going faster than the trucker next to me.... well I guess I'm hitting the brakes and moving 2 lanes over so I can go around both of y'all.
So yes... I will have to get use to going 60 at all times.

BTW. I actually love traffic. I'm nervous about a big rig, but usually I'm calm. I always look ahead, watch for truckers who need to move over. (610 merge onto 45S from the left) and check my mirrors. If I see someone coming up fast on my back door... I move out of the way. I'm not going any faster so I let them be my front door. Lol
I just don't like people who are in the left lane driving like it's Sunday or can't keep their vech. Centered in the lane. That lets me know they are probably on their phone and I don't want to be behind them when they hit the wall.
