Was thinking of signing with Crete soon -- how much ARE they paying? For someone with 10 month's experience, clean record, hard worker?

Good company I am coming back from major eye surgery and i probably averaged 2300-2700 paid depending on hours of service but I have had some frustrating times with crete too
-
I was getting .46 a mile
-
Crete first offered me 46c per mile after 3 weeks on a trainer's truck (those 3 weeks were a flat $600/week). The recruiter called back a couple of days ago and said I would be skipping the trainer's truck phase and put directly into my own truck at only 43c per mile for 6 months. Is that reasonable for my experience level? (10 months, clean record)
-
That sounds about right about what there offering I am going back out in the next week or so
Trying to get stuff around my apartment before I take off should be fun getting back out there -

You teach me about the glory of robotics and computer cloud management of all the goodies in the 3 story racks over two million feet of cooled space. I call BS. The more crap that they stacked on top of your building with just two people to mind a network prone to failure when 500 trucks show up, all demanding to be loaded right now. 100 docks and two people to drive that fancy networked fork lift.
You are going to wait a while. Fortuantely for you, Uncle Sam has NEVER written ANY Law that says you can only wait this long and not longer. That'ws not how it works. Theoratically you can burn your entire 70 hour rule sitting on your tired ### waiting for this shipper to load you on duty. (I did that once. out of spte, turning in 14 hour days until all of my 70 was burnt properly waiting on a shipper. Turned that into the trucking company, they basically detonated. The yelling continues to this day, in fact, I become afraid for them medically because they induce seizures from the yelling that is consuming them.
How dare I log 70 hours waiting.
You are better off not counting on the gross pay just yet. Your dispatchers will work very hard to find weaknesses. And they WILL abuse you. I know I would. I want to try and break you within 90 days.
One magic word for you...
"No." You need to imagine the level of fear that most newbies must endure never to use that word NO to a dispatcher when there is simply no Hours left to do anything this week. They are so scared of losing work. Or the whole job to boot.
Maybe you run into something, bend the bosses car pulling into his lot. You are told to clean out the truck and go home on your own dime, yer fired. -
