It's ignorant ######## like yourself that keep the stigma going with anything that is not accepted. Be it because they just can't comprehend it, or in this case just plain ignorance, unless you're willing to actually learn about the subject matter, well your nothing better than an old racist.

Amazingly I do agree that many of these diagnoses are a bit overused. I for one don't believe we have as many kids actually with autism as they claim, because everyone has autism now in some form.

 

Yep. PTSD, autism, ADD (or whatever they call it now), etc is way over diagnosed by doctors because big pharmacy pays them to use their pills. Then who have #### bags that self diagnose themselves with PTSD or depression or whatever as the reason for their laziness and refusal to get a job. I have a couple of those in my family and it posses me off.

 

And no one was saying veterans should be treated as gods or anything like that. But special consideration needs to be given to veterans because they have been through and done #### that the majority of people won't do.

 

SOME have, not all. And I think most veterans don't want special consideration. Especially those that have seen and done things. For the most part they want to be left the hell alone.

 

I'm not a big fan of being thanked for my service, I don't specifically ask for a veteran discount. I did what I did because of 3 reasons, 1 I was in a really tough spot in my life and I needed a job. 2 I promised my grandfather I would join at some point. 3 I wanted to be apart of something bigger than myself.

 

I agree. As a vet mtself I rather be left alone. But at the same time the veterans that need extra help shouldn't be dismissed either.

 

Agreed. As long as they are willing to help themselves. Some people take advantage of the whole vet thing. I saw one guy holding a sign say he was a disabled vet. He looked completely fine and healthy. I couldn't help, but think about the guys who lost a limb, but still go to work. You can't holler ptsd either. I am sure loosing a leg causes more traumatic stress.

No doubt, they are out there, I've seen many, and you can usually deduce within a one minute conversation that they are full of #### and just out to scam people on their kindness
