Glad it went well for you. I'm glad I'm at Mercer for sure. There is more negativity on this thread now than what there used to be but that doesn't mean Mercer isn't a good place to be.

KIDS!.....LOL I have a sink, And as Spider noted I like to brush my teeth, make coffee, and wash myself off after tarping if I can't get to a shower. Oh and my sink consist of a 2 gallon plastic wash pan I keep under my bunk. I carry a 5 gallon plastic water tank.

I've had 2 loads where they've used 2x4's, one easy to get out by hand, the other I had to use my iron pipe breaker bar and a hammer to pound them out

Highway Sailor and HalpinUout Thank this.

If I can't get the 2x4 out I take a small piece of wood I carry, or one of the 2x4 stakes they use, put it under the stuck one and give it a hit upwards with my 2 pound mallet. Out it comes.

    Airborne and HalpinUout Thank this.

I've not had them use a 2x4 yet, but I have had them use steel. If not for the forklift, those weren't coming out that day. Rolled mesh plopped out against them and their forklift wasn't big enough to go over.

Highway Sailor and HalpinUout Thank this.

Do most of you carry pocket winches/port-a-winch so that you not using a winch directly above your tires on certain loads?

I have 2- 4" hand ratchet winches. I'm looking a getting 6 additional sliding winches once I get back to Louisville.
