Crazy how this thread went from being about FW's adventure to just a hanging out place. Lol.

I'm really enjoying it. I guess it fits me better because I'm doing much better here. Two things a like is that I don't have to run multiple short loads a day to make money. I run longer runs & still make great rates. And the other is the way I'm treated at customers. Being at Schneider I had become convinced that most customers were just jerks, but I'm finding that not to be the case. Could be coincidence or could be customers don't like hearing the name Schneider. Lol. Idk but I'm treated better by customers now.

    How you doing at Schneider?

man, not too bad. I've thought about jumping, but better the devil you know kinda thing.
It's annoying that they seem to strip all the good paying loads, but if I were in their position,I guess I might do the same. One of the new things I've noticed is that they're starting to do a lot more relays with really, really bad rates. It looks like they suck all of the top line revenue on the front half, and then offer the load for .85 a mile on the back half.....whatever, I ain't running it and no one else I know will run them either, but if they just left them alone, someone would run them for the full rate.
But, I've got a paid off truck and can do 100k+ without much of a problem, so I guess I'll stay where I am.

Good to hear that you're still doing good. I tell people all the time if you're ok with what you're making & with the company you're dealing with them you've got no reason to switch.

I just couldn't stand corporate anymore. Every since they decided to go IPO it became all about the bottom line & the stock holders. Plus the major lack of communication & intelligence I all the departments.

I can't explain it yet but my revenue is down but my bank accounts are up. Idk.

My advice ( not that you want it or need it) is the obvious. Stay there until something changes that you can't deal with.

man, it's just too easy for me.......sure, there are frustrations, but mostly it's pick a load, deliver the load, and pick another. Been trying to stay out only 5 or so days at a time, so quality of life is pretty good too. They do 99% of my admin, so really, I'm just driving a truck when and where I want to. Can't get much easier than that.

    Awesome week man.

Yep, you've got it good. I really enjoyed Schneider for the first 9 months. Then for me it started going down hill. But I was under pressure to make big money until I completed my lease, turned that truck in & went & bought an older used truck. The much cheaper payments helped a lot but I guess I just became stupid or Schneider started screwing with the load board because it never got back to being as good as it was.

I don't care who a guy/girl is leased to, I just like to see me fellow o/o happy & making money.

Yep they're having more an more company trucks pick up loads and drop'em for relays so they can take even more out of the load after it comes over for SNL
They also don't put hardly anything on the board after 1700 either, it dies almost as bad as Friday afternoon every day at 1700.
I hate repeating myself but, it was truly a mistake to come back.
    Such stupidity on my part.
