I read a 7-year-old thread that someone complained that after deductions school, lodging taxes he only got $175 a week, right now how long would you be out, how many miles or even how long would you be waiting (OTR not home) for a load to get that amount.

7000 for 2 years is like 67 dlls a week right

Honestly it depends......for every week your out...you get one day off..

Honestly i made.good.money there by teaming and doing their lease purchase program.....but if you have alot.of bills at home...and solo driving....i wouldnt do it....alot of trainers make a.good.living there...it is possible...but the hardest part of a new cdl holder is spending the next 6 weeks with someone you dont know in their truck and doing exactly what they want you to do..

you must be a recruiter bc i was a team truck with their purchase program and made only 300.00 a week if we were lucky, when we left the purchase program we were 100k in the hole of what they did not pay us. crappy load because we did not kiss the butt of our driver manager. they pay sucks between the two of us the truck was getting paid .45 cents a mile, and that was with per diem.

As a trainee you will get a salary of $450 per week for first 3-4 weeks. Then they bump you to $500 until u grad out and go solo. Once solo you start at .30 per mile plus .10 per mile per diem.
Yes you will have deduction on your loan...company issued tools etc but its only around $25-45per check.
Im a recent grad currently solo. My first week out I ran almost 2000 miles. You must run the miles given to you to make money whether solo...trainer...whatever. No miles equals no money. If you cant run 500 to 600 miles a day youre going to struggle to make money. Its all up to you.

$.30 PLUS per diem? That would be a major improvement over what Stevens is commonly said to pay, at 500+ a day it is almost very good starting pay, not their reputation.

The guys #####ing about pay are the ones who cant or wont run 500+ miles a day. The lazy ones. Period. If u run hard and take loads as y hey come youll get paid.

I logged 2700 miles my first week solo.
    .30 cents a mile taxed...10 cents a mile per diem not taxed....minus a 20.00 advance taxes etc....check was just under 700.00
But i run 500-600 miles a day o f i have the miles to run. No less. Some guys do 400 miles and park to play video games. Theyre the ones #####ing I promise you.

Like I said that is way more per mile, than is blabbered all over the internet. A lot of guys don't like the per diem, but if possible make a Roth 401k deposit similar to that amount and it may pay off far more than the slightly higher Social Security payments will be down the road.
