I have driven I-95 from Richmond to Connecticut,
and it is indeed miserable in and around NYC.
I-65 between Chicago and Indy is still worse IMHO. Just in terms of the absolutely abysmal quality of the roadway itself. A few days back, I had the pleasure of driving the whole stretch bobtail. I think I wound up two inches shorter from the spinal compression.
The Indiana side is slightly better than the Illinois side, but that's damning with faint praise.

There is a bunch of road construction going on in Oregon but it's mostly around Portland and some parts of the I-5 which isn't a bad highway but it does link to Commiefornia.

I made it to Alaska with Abilene, note the sweatshirt. We are sitting on top of the Mendenhall Glacier.

My wife has been after me to take her on a Alaskan cruise for 23 years. One day I will have to break down and take her.

Spent seven hours at a dock at Givens in Chesapeake yesterday. There were nine Abilene trucks there, total. All docked. All waiting for shipments to Berea, KY. All of us waiting for hours.
Apparently there was some issue with customs not releasing the paperwork. Eventually we all got called by the yard and told to drop our trailers and find somewhere to sleep for the night, and come back in the morning. About to get breakfast and then head on over there.
You can bet I'm putting in for detention for this one. -
