There's a funny smell in my truck it reminds me of glue. Now the truck did have an exhaust leak but that was repaired about a week and a half ago, and the truck has been sitting for about 4 days. I come to get back in it and as soon as I open the door I just get this very strong odor of glue now I'm in the truck and it's idling and the smell is not going away and it gives me a headache anybody know what this could be?

Not to be a smart ### here but you don't happen to have a tube of super glue that by some means leaked out into a drawer or glove box or something, do you? Had one split in a desk drawer once years ago and in closed spaces like a small office that smell lingered for what seems like forever

    How old is the truck?
    Recent carpet?
    Recent seats?
    Recent fresh mattresses?

Maybe glue since the truck had an exhaust leak, maybe the mechanics also glued some interior seals to keep exhaust fumes out.

That is a good point. Weatherstrip adhesive emits noxious fumes. Check your door seals, they may have been repaired with adhesive, as Chinatown suggests.

The truck is fairly new it's only got about 35,000 miles on it it had 20,000 on it when I got into it and it had the smell in it then then I drove the truck for like three weeks discovered exhaust leak one day had that fixed but it still has that horrible smell in it and it does remind me of glue fumes I don't have any super glue in the truck I don't carry that but I can't figure out what it is and it's really making me nauseous

I'd be ripping up carpet and everything to find the source .....got a truck once that smelled like death, tucked away under the corner of some carpet in the sleeper was an old rotting sardine or something , took a week to get rid of that smell

Another side effect appears to be run-on sentences.

    Kidding.

Is this your truck, or company rig?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
