Been awhile since I was on here but wanted to share a little info for the O/O''s here. I work in the Office for Schneider and am going O/O in September. To answer some of your questions:

    1. They do not have a seperate board for Owner Op's then for Company. It's the same loads.
    2. They have Dedicated Lanes that are not offered to the Board. 30 loads a day, 35 drivers dedicated to haul those loads 7 days a week. Period! Same drivers, same loads. GM Parts, Some Home Depot, Amazon...you get the idea.
    3. They also have what they call segmented loads. These are loads that come out every week the same time in weird places that are tied to other strange places. recycled paper in Prewitt, NM (Cheap Freight) headed to California, load from California to Phoenix, recycled paper back to NM. The triangle but all the freight is cheap so O/O's wouldn't want it anyways.

I've seen it, been working with it and understand it. It is competitive for all. 40% of Schneiders fleet is actually Owner Operator. They need you!

Stay Safe my friends and see ya out there.

If you've ever been to Phoenix we have probably met. I spend a ton of time talking and coaching drivers.

If 40% of the fleet is owner-operators then they're lying one of two ways either they're lying that they only have 2800 owner-operators or they're lying about the 40% of the fleet is owner operators

Not sure....I'll check which one and let you know. I only went off what I was told but you make an interesting point. Maybe it's 40% of Van Truck Load. I know when you include all drivers in all areas there are a little over 15,000 drivers. That's every driver!

    drvrtech77 Thanks this.
