I know. That was part of what they did with my tractor that day among other things. It was a sick puppy I brought them. She ran like a factory new rig when I headed out of that bay. Beautiful.

Aligning a truck on the ground with a laser mounted on a stick seems pretty cheap and reneckish o me

I am actually a certified alingment man for cars with a ground rack, provided you get that vehicle up on it. Ive alinged a few cars in my time with a auto shop vocational class desiged to give me a trade I can go into after I graduate. But my real love is engines and rebuilding the same. Losing myself in a forest of old style push rods, valve clearances, angles, cylinder area, crank shaft and so on etc etc etc. It got to where I dreamed numbers and did work at night asleep. They used to tease me about that.
The state was more than good to me. The problem was actually in the dorms away from eye of supervisor when the less than bright lights (Those with low intellect... bless them...) chose to use fists and feet to try and discourage me from doing so well with the engine work. It turned out that there was a great deal of ego related male jealousy because Im rebuilding say a old '41 caddy engine thats bigger than I am.. (Whew...) She did start and run.
I gained immense satisfction that she fired, ran for the first time granny garaged her in 61.
I had to fight hard to keep it against three people that night. It was a little bit vicious and fast. It ended when I tossed one out the third floor window. He snapped his leg in two places. -
