Kevin Rutherford has done the research. 85% of lease purchases FAIL. 15 % success rate? No thanks.

.84 a mile is what company drivers would be making these days if (entire industry) wages kept up with inflation, but that's another story. If I was owner operator and Trans Am was offering me a measly .84 I'd be giving them the finger in return.

I was with TranScam for a few years as a company driver. It actually was a decent company about 12 years ago.
I now drive for Henderson Trucking out of Caseyville, IL.
Henderson might take you with 3 months expierience and put you in own truck. They took 3 ex TransAm drivers when I did oreintation.

TransAm was OK when I was with them in 2005 as company driver. Lease drivers were making a check back then. I knew a lease guy who ran 2 log books and he made money.
But things changed and I was making less and less $.
Before I left they closed down driver break rooms in Olathe, KS and Rockwall,TX. They would have drivers sitting outside waiting for truck in shop. They had become like prison guards watching drivers to see who was talking.

Figures, it's obvious that company cares little to nothing about its drivers. I think if a company really does want to keep drivers, and actually respects them it should try listening to their concerns instead of intimidating them against voicing their anger on social media.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

What I was seeing the Lease guys do before I left Transam.
Get 90 days in then Train other newbies. When they know you want to train they will put loads on you. Train for a month or two to get out hole then haul ###.
Thats what I saw the lease guys doing to get out hole. Maybe its gotten worse since I left but if I was you I would talk to some trainers to see it they get miles.
