Schneider is mean

He coulda been the mysterious trucker. I wish the movie had explained a little as to why the trucker goes off when hes passed and tries to kill people. Cause a little backstory like maybe he runs the roads of the desert and has killed many before. But Dennis Weavers character got the guts to challenge him and trucker was finally killed

 

Who said anything about Roy Scheider? He was a little known movie actor at the time and Duel was produced as a tv flick. It did so well on television that additional scenes were shot and it was released in theaters overseas and later in the states.

They even added expletives to make it seem less like a tv film.

Scheider would have actually been very good as the motorist. I can just imagine him snarling "Smile, you son of a ......."

 

Yesterday I was at the Truck Corral in Ozona Texas. I had to buy a screwdriver with a star head. I found a great little set with about twenty tips and a ratchet handle for just ten bucks. I also picked up a bag of jerky, some bedroom energy supplements, a few canned goods and the prize of the day, a DVD of Duel for 5.99.

For the first time in years, I saw the version that was shown in theaters. A few additional scenes and some mild expletives. Kicking back last night and enjoying it was real cool.

 

And it just gets worse

True.... yu are a newbie with NO experience..... a rookie with rookie pay

 

You have ZERO experience, Learn the ropes.... you produce practically zero profit for any company outta school...and chances are, you'll dump your trailer into a ditch, or worse

Im going to have to go through the Duel all over again based on some of the thoughts presented.

When you come into trucking you will get shafted. The best you can do is choose to get shafted with or without Vaseline. There is no in between.
