    I did.

I don't know how anyone could stand the hand holding.

Many people understandably can't. At least Maverick doesn't use those fuel solutions I see posts about and they don't make you take a certain route.

    cke and MJ1657 Thank this.

Most important thing? Put the #### on the deck and get out of my way. But then my truck is 24 years old too.

The ones that can't stand the hand holding... don't need it.

Unfortunately, in today's world, there are a lot more that not only don't mind it, but need to have it. Can't function worth a darn without it. Many of these people need duct tape over their mouth any time a customer is near by.

Just learned there is a Maverick terminal right down the road from where I intend to get my CDL training. Maverick looked like a great starter company to consider until I found out they only have automatic transmissions.

I get it, they're supposed to get better fuel mileage and some people who are deathly afraid of learning to operate a clutch might prefer them but.......

Automatic transmissions would be a show stopper for me. I want the experience as well as the personal interaction with the transmission. My latest personal truck is the first automatic vehicle I've had since 1986 and I miss clutching.

Yes, and get rid of the ones who don't measure up. Simple as that.

No, office politics has to intrude on that once simple concept all the time.

Unfortunately we have a thing now called the "manual transmission restriction".

Amusing. Genuinely. (I'm not that old, btw.)

I presume, however, we're more alike than you care to admit. You've thrown back that stone from within your own glass house. So are we square, or should I dog your personality deficits? Which, as I see, benefits neither of us (maybe you.... you seem to rack the upvotes - but little do I care) and isn't particularly a game I care to play.

    WW6D?

I expect silence, so amuse me again by tagging or quoting me and not doing the internet / TTR equivalent of talking #### behind my back. Come correct or don't at all. Trust me, I can take the beating. I can give one too. You prey on the weak.... I am not.
    Thanks, guy.

And that's NOT where they (company mechanic) turn off the manual option on your automatic.
