It would not surprise me if they do come out with more strict and specific rules for pc.

    mhyn Thanks this.

You can use PC under load as long as you show in remarks that you drop your trailer and you pick it back up at the same location. If you are empty and under dispatch, you can use it as long as your not going in the direction of the shipper. Make sure you log in remarks what you were doing in case of audit by DOT.

    bowhunter67 Thanks this.

Depending on how the company has it set up, Peoplenet will let you go 5 miles at any speed before changing over to drive. It will then back log that 5 miles to where you starting driving, but there are ways around that.
The office can edit drive time, but it will be flagged and they will have to explain why.

    bowhunter67 and mhyn Thank this.

Under the current eobr rules there are no restriction on speed/distance to switch to driving. On the new elds though 5 mph is max.

Sometimes my JJ Keller will go to drive time with the truck just inching forward sliding a frac tank off the back. Other times I can go 2 miles before it goes to driving, other times I can only 1/2 mile. I don't really care as I'm hourly, but sometimes it is nice to be able to move around the yard without triggering it and have to start that stupid 30 minute break over.
