I don't know why are they trying to force eld on everyone let them force elog on on 30 or more truck. I have one truck and have enough on my plate. Tires, fuel, breakdowns, ect cost. I don't need extra financial stress with this BS elog ####. 20 to 100 a month fees it adds up

So? Writing off $X means you dont pay taxes on $X. If you pay $1000 a year for elog fees you're still out $700ish after the write off. In my case im out the entire amount because various equipment depreciations plus my other expenses already bring my legal income pretty close to zero.

How did this brilliant post slip by me?
Nobody wants to level the playing field.
And the paper loggers disrupt my sleep by parking beside me, taking a 3 hour "10 hour break" and then leaving, then another parks for his one hour "10 hour break"
It's like I'm parked in the fuel island

That's why I own a 94 and will NEVER own anything newer than a 99. These Megas are the most dangerous things on the road. At LEAST FIVE TIMES A DAY I have to avoid an accident with one of their "drivers". There use to be a time when I could trust another truck and only worry about four wheelers. Today, it's the exact opposite. ELDS and speed limiters don't do anything for safety.

I can understand some not wanting an ELD but cost is a weak excuse. Cummins has one with no monthly fees and only about $200. If you cannot afford that it is time to get a job as a Walmart greeter.

Sure I can afford the cost of an ELD. I can also afford FET on 18 tires. The HVUT tax I pay every year. Etc etc etc....

... BUT I DONT LIKE HAVING FEES AND TAXES AND TOLLS AND WHATEVER OTHER F@@@@@@ COST SOME JACK@@@ CAN THINK OF BEING PILED ON ME LIKE I'M AN ATM.
