I thought that was the nature of trucking. Even company drivers do it. Lol.

I have no preference either way but I don't think there is much chance of it happening.

Well 4,000 miles a week is easy to do on Elogs but 2.10 over on VAN? No way lol

I would have to respectfully disagree--4000 a week is not easy to do at all. If you work 6 days out of 7 you would have to consistently do 666 miles a day. With traffic, construction, loading, and unloading I feel like 4000 a week is NOT realistic at all for a single driver. Maybe once in a blue moon, but not easy at all.

ya, you can do 4k (not that i really want to all the time) and you may have the stars align and get that 1 load that pays 2.10, but not every load every week like he was talking lol

We work hard. The most miles we have done since working at Mercer--on elogs--has been 3184 miles with an average of 2220 miles weekly. (We did more with paperlogs--nuff said--but we were exhausted--we are MUCH happier with elogs.) We have taken a few days off here and there since April, but for the most part work pretty consistently. We are not "swimming" in money, but we feel pretty good about our weekly gross pay (about $3900). So one doesn't have to kill themselves with miles to be able to earn well--work smarter, not harder.

Most of you guys know I sold out a year ago last May, from a lifetime of being leased to Mercer. I was digging around my shed and found some tire chains a set of 3 railers (enough to chain up one axle) and four singles. These are in great shape. Also have 4 (new singles, never used, still shiny) All Cam locks,That's enough chains to do 12 tires.

This is just for my Mercer friends, so it's not going to the classified section. if your going down I65 in Tn
for $75 I will run them over to Loves in Columbia exit 46 or the Tennessean exit 22 in Cornersville.

These fit 24.5 low pro or 22.5 big rubber. Shoot me a PM winters on the way.

    HalpinUout and RStewart Thank this.
