You ever had the turkey bacon ranch market fresh sandwich at Arby's? Deli sliced turkey in copious amounts, onion, crisp bacon, ranch dressing and cheese. Two thumbs up.

Of course they are. They have so much air time that they HAVE to fill, so they will talk about anything, everything, and when all else fails they will make up crap to talk about.
Have I ever mentioned how badly I detest the media in general?

Thank you for posting that. That picture is enough to give old folks nightmares.

I suspect fuel and gasoline prices are going to jump 5 to 10 cents nationwide very quickly.

Edit: And the good news is there will be a lot of dry wall, lumber, carpet, etc hauled down there.

Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't spout off common sense "tips" to "keep you safe" as though they were breaking news to you...or pretend to be "unbiased" when they are shamelessly one-sided in their reporting. Not to mention, attempting to make news rather than simply report it.

Saw on the news tonight they are expecting a total of 50" in some places before all is said and done. I can't even imagine that...enough rain to overflow a 4' swimming pool.

The last time I had a claim for my insurance they tried to get out of it.
By claiming my home got wet with Wind Driven Rain and was not covered.
I had to hire a lawyer and sued them and won but it took awhile...

Had been with them for over 20 years..
I hope these people have better luck with their claims..

austinmike, Lepton1 and tucker Thank this.

That's just the beginning. The landfills are going to fill up with ...
    • all the upholstered furniture and mattresses? Not worth trying to salvage
    • other basic home furnishings, TV's, any MDF furniture is destroyed, as well as most quality solid wood furniture
    • all the groceries in the pantry and fridge? All ruined and gotta be replaced at some point.
    • and the list goes on and on

I don't think insurance pays anywhere close to what you paid every month .

My buddy went thru hell with his insurance after a tornado. That got ruled straight line winds. It's sad that one pays them for a just in case something happens scenario. But when something happens they don't won't to pay. WTH????????
