Those objections are dumb as hell.

I've grown to love the 53ft wagons, there's much fewer cases of me having to tarp the upper and lower deck because I can usually stuff everything on the bottom deck.

Mines a slider rear axle but I never slide it...

    5' is a lot?

They should come see some of our liftgate trailers. These guys would slide their tandems clear to the middle if they could.

I have too much pride to ride around like the rest of these knuckleheads. I run about 10' from the tail to the center of the tandem.

Really digging these tank heads, extremely easy to secure, and they pay rather well.

We have a 53 with the sliding rear axle. I don't mind it. It's a real nice trailer for some of the stuff we haul (crane booms). The tail swing for me isn't really all that bad except for backing up on some job sites with tight fits and complex turns. My only complaint is its all steel and wood deck so gvw sucks. I think one with steel frame aluminum deck would be real nice to have to be able to carry two counters and one section with out getting to the line on total gvw.

Here it is my first real oversize load with transport/b&k.11ft 6in wide from green bay to Strongsville Ohio

Local guy picked it up for me, we just swapped equipment out. Made it from the yard in oak creek to the speedway station west of Merrillville Indiana before it got too dark. 20170830_154440.jpg

Load of grain bin parts to end the week.

Also, I'm going to be popping my trucking-across-the-border cherry the week of the 11th. Heading to Chicago and back to learn a particular customers new loading procedure so I can teach it to the drivers. Not sure of details yet, but it'll likely be a load to the Wisconsin/Illinois area, with a reload in Chi-town and circle back to home base.

If anyone might end up in the area that week, let me know and perhaps we can meet up. I'm really excited.
