Co's who have to continously monitor inside cab at every move the driver makes obviously has problem with hiring standards...

Check out my post in February 2016 what I said about cameras back then. All a person has to do is pay attention to things are happening. If it's going make Wal-Mart a nickel more in profits that's all that matters. Just like grassroots meetings. Unless it's going to put more bonus money in management's pockets you are wasting your time asking anything. Now if you drink the blue Koolaid totally ignore what I just said and keep doing the squiggly every day and remember that management really appreciates all you do!

I agree; & i think they want to make sure with a possible body cam ; that we are following procedures
I heard a couple stories of a driver that didnt put his lock back on at a dock ;& the forklift driver went back in & the driver pulled out with him on the dock plate
I have been driving without a driver cam or any of these safety devices for 24 yrs, i personally dont want it
But with the more inexperienced drivers being hired ; it may be necessary

...But let's just punish the ones that have been there for years and have had zero issues. That's absolutely phenomenal for morale.

From what I'm reading, the legality of both inward and outward facing cameras are questionable. I swear I saw an article where UPS drivers beat management's plans for inward facing based on 4th amendment violations, and I was just told that outward facing is now considered to be illegal in Georgia due to the fact that people being recorded are not notified of the recording going on and have not given their consent.

UPS drivers have the teamsters backing too. Plus they are under a contract. The company can't change rules any time they choose to put more profits and management bonuses in their pockets. Didn't see the article but I don't doubt anything you said.
