I used it recently for the 1st time when I was getting a reset in Nashville. From the TA to Broadway where all the tourist bars are was like $6. Hard to beat. And, I agree - know what it will cost and how long until you're picked up are a major plus.

 

well i've been broke down in Belgrade, MT since Saturday.. Getting my tractor towed to Billings, MT Peterbilt Tuesday.. looks like i will be down for awhile... it's trucking....

@ncmickey i was climbing the last mountain before Billings and something went wrong with the cooling system. i tried to identify if a hose let loose etc. but couldn't see anything.. coolant was everywhere which didn't help. once the road side crew came they asked if i could move the truck and possibly get it to the summit. i got about 200 yards and it started spewing coolant once more. all the Peterbilt alarms and whistles came one as well. i pulled over once more and got out lifted the hood and noticed that the coolant was being released via the coolant bottle release valve.. I was towed to MCM in Belgrade. Randy said the tractor will be towed to Billings Tuesday. what sucks i was on a great load from Bellingham, WA to Atlanta.. Marco is on his way to pickup my trailer drop an empty and take it the rest of the way to Atlanta..

 

Yea, that sucks bro. But it happens to us all sooner of later. Hopefully it's a quick downtime. Glad your somewhere safe.

 

When I was teaming at Interstate many moons ago, ci-driver was headed up the big hill from mesquite Nevada headed south and the truck died just before the top. Had to be towed to Freightliner in Vegas and we were there 4 or 5 days. Co-driver, a big church goer, did not like it one bit...as for me I was partying like it was 1999! The downtown Billings area is a party spot, too. Pretty tame Sun-Thur nights but Friday and Saturday the club's, restaurants, everything is packed with people. Make lemonade! Hard lemonade if you so choose.

 

Seems to be more than a few oopsies with times and dates for appt's lately. I guess it's best to call customers direct to get the real deal and if there's a prob, they can call to verify? Do CSR's put that info in? Are there probs in all regions? I've seen this several times between the thread here and fb group.

 

I usually don't have problems with appt. times. Dispatch just seems chaotic since Ashley and Jeremy left.... they need to buckle down and get their act together....

The guy at Lallacks in Brooklyn Center came into work and got me unloaded... so I'm back in the yard. One of our nicest customers....The nice thing is I don't have to be up at 0430!!

 

I want to thank the person for posting the map of the LTL area.
I keep thinking. It just may be a time in my life that I'm ready to go LTD. I won't bore you all with the many reasons.
I do want to help and pay back a little. I posted a thread in health. I consider this a gift. I've done a whole lot of research, trial and error, failure, and success in health. I posted the best wisdom I know of. On Health... the right way....

 

I use Uber mostly all the time in the bigger cities, even if I have a rental and don't want to deal with traffic or don't have a designated driver. Saves you money and you get to where u have to go.
