Hi all,
I know we have a photo / art gallery on here and I guess my idea behind this is to share pics of wrecks in the winter. Not trying to poke fun at any company at all, but just to remind us all of what can happen in the winter times. For the newer drivers...tip number 1 in winter....slow down if you have to drive at all.
*Note...I use a digital camera with a continuous shot feature. All I do is hold the camera with one hand and aim, while holding the button. I do this at the same time while driving looking forward. The only difference is that one hand is off the wheel. I take about 30-50 pictures each time, tilting the camera in all sorts of directions in order to get the picture as I dont look at the camera while doing this. Of those...I selected the best ones to post on here.
Im planning on adding to this throughout the winter with additional pictures. We had a storm come through last week and I got a two-fer.
This is a Fed-Ex hauling doubles. On the far left you can see the other trailer, which I think was still attached to the tractor. In the ditch is the wrecker, although its hard to see...on the other side of the trailer but if you look closely, you can see it....maybe.
As you can see, not much snow at all...melted that afternoon...but the wind made everything very slick.
Swift trailer on its side. It was going from right to left, but got turned around and flipped on its side. There were packages tossed out the back door about 40 feet from where the trailer stopped.

I have a shot of the swift truck from the west bound side. It is taken later than yours cause there was a second Swift truck being loaded with the boxes.

Well Ziggy, if the midwest gets a winter like it had last year, just roll up I94 in Wisconsin from Madison towards the Twin Cities, and you'll get to see plenty of that. My hubby for Werner out of Tomah last winter, and when I would drive up there to get him for hometime, there were plenty of rigs in the ditch in various positions just after snowfalls.
