By now ALL states should have the new regs written in, but I would carry a copy of the Fast Act with you, you know, just for that "special" uninformed DOT cop.

    Tropsnart Thanks this.

I've "heard" that in PA once you step off the interstate you are not legal. I haven't heard of anyone getting a ticket for it.
I personally have had this truck for just about 4 years now. Never had a tape pulled on it (knock on wood). I couldn't get legal before the new law so it worked to my advantage once they wrote it.

You are correct about Pennsylvania, outside of the required reasonable access provisions and up to 1 mile for terminals, repairs and fuel PA does not allow greater than 75 foot for stinger-steer and 65' for all other auto transport combinations. We also restrict most other combinations with trailers greater then 28.5' or over 96" wide to select few highways.

Tropsnart, KANSAS TRANSIT and sxdime Thank this.

Anybody knows when the newer Volvo stinger is coming?
Since they announced the new vnr and vnl, the car hauler should be next, but when? Anybody have an idea?

Has anyone seen the 80 foot high rails yet?? I seen one at cottrell yesterday. It's a lot different from the standard version. It looks like it can easily hold 11 cars

Doesn't Colorado tear you guys up? Or is that old news......I thought they were your worst enemy ....

And your not alone....Texas is stopping welders with one tons and writing them for being under registered lol If you buy a new one ton and just register it then Texas will set the plate to 12k per factory specs. A welder with machine and tools is a little over 14k. My guys were telling me about this....

Desperate times = desperate measures ?
