I'm a owner of a 24' straight box truck. If anyone owns and run one I'd welcome any assistance of ideals for steady work. I live about 60 miles outside of Chicago and go to all points in Illinois. Also looking for a reputable broker for this size truck. again all ideas and help welcome. (Have my own authority,)

    Thanks.

I know some expediters get brokered loads from Landstar . But expect the next couple of months to be very slow .

You may want to try Slipstream Expedited Services, They're a local expediter, doing some local and some OTR. Look for airfreight companies around O'Hare Airport - They're always looking for straight truck O/O's, even Craigslist in our area has many (read: DECENT) opportunities for straight truck O/O's.
