I have my DZ license in Ontario,

    New driver

Can't find a job. Am I really only good for sucking grease from McDonalds?

Someone enlighten me, the Americans think I'm the problem. It seems there jobs companies for every new driver in U.S.A....

Do we have it backwards over here?

My friend said he has same issue when he first got his DZ license in terms of finding work.

Dz is tougher. You have a plethora of drivers who want to work local and have experience and also their az so why would I hire a new guy with dz when I can get an experienced az driver? The insurance is more for the new driver. Being in Canada a large portion of trucking is cross border, and lots of drivers refuse or aren't eligible to go to USA for whatever reason. Maybe you should upgrade to az and start at Kriska or bison or something...

Is a DZ like a Class 3 everywhere else in Canada? Not being able to pull a semi-trailer kind of limits what you can do. Get out and start knocking on doors. The jobs aren't going to find you.
