Reading through here. I can't understand how a person can get a ticket for failure to yield. When they were rear ended? .... Doesn't make any sense?

After you quite, does anyone know how much Prime reimburses you when you turn in the Flatbed tools ?

I heard they charge $3,500 for them,do you get back the full amount, assuming everything is there and in decent condition ?

They don't. You have to sell them outright yourself. They become one with YOU.

That sucks. Looks like I'll go with Roehl instead.I plan on quitting as soon as my contract is up so it doesnt matter which company is better long term. With Prime you are $5,500 behind Roehl on day one ($3500 tools plus no pay while you have your CDL)if you are in the flatbed division.

I'd actually look at a few others before Roehl. Slip seating in a condo doesn't sound like fun to me. I know a few guys pulling flats for Prime, and the investment is thru the roof. Yeop.
Have you looked at Maverick, Melton, McElroy? Just off the top of my head.

ps: Who are you with now?

Yeah, Prime (and their sister companies) is pretty pricey to start; esp. for flats.

Im with no one, 2 weeks ago I didnt even know what dry van meant.I have my permit and am scheduled to go to SLC for Prime oreintation next week.

I looked at some other companies but its almost like there is too much information with the internet. Everytime I do a search i keep second guessing myself if I chose the right company. I should probably just do my year with prime .

^^^ I hear you. Prime isn't cheap, but they ARE picky. If you're already in, you might as well just roll with it. I'm a fan of them, really. Just costly is all. If you can suck that up, you'll be fine. They take it out in increments. I've got respect for them, I do. Especially the flatbed side. They train well.
