Be careful with this and carrying it with you as Kratom is illegal in some states; Indiana being one of them.
There are a lot of people that use kratom to detox from opiates so I'm not sure I'd want to drive after ingesting any amount

Here's my subjective experience of this "herb". It's no joke, it's the real thing, and I'd take a break from it now and then. It definitely can relieve stress...zero doubt about that. I'm a walking stress case on a good day, but the last week, this herb has kept me calm through situations that would have had me ranting for hours. This was actually an excellent test week for the "stress" relieving affects of the herb.
One thing I have noticed is that it stays in my system for quite awhile and taking more just extends the affects with less potency. So, I'd suggest riding it out. This isn't a "high" it's more like a medication. I've taken plenty of opiates from the dentist and this isn't the same thing by a long shot. That being said, it does affect your perceptions of the world around you. Should go without saying since part of what causes anxiety is the world around you.
I have diabetic neuralgia and it helps with that big time. Better than any pharma medication I've taken. So, there's that.
If they make this illegal on a federal level it would be a shame. But, I realize that some people cannot do anything responsibly, so those people will probably end up the 'poster people' for this herb. It's pretty typical in the 'anti-drug' propaganda world for the irresponsible and worst case scenario people to held forth as the typical 'victims' of a drug, rather than an atypical extreme.
I've definitely voted with my wallet on this herb. -

Kratom is natural in comes in different types. From Asia an been used for a long time as a natural remedy for various stuff. From my understand in low doses one type is similar to a painkiller, another is more of a sedative type..think people who have issues sleeping an such, an the other is more of a upper if I recall.
I expect it to be banned in the states eventually. They sell it here in NC in certain places. I have tried it when it was first being sold here back around 2014 or so. Very few places on my sandbar sell it..in fact only one I think of that does is actually on the mainland side of the bridge. I've not herd any bad reports or crazy ods or side effects. Like I said above it's been used for a long time in Asia. I've never herd it called a opiate, but I do know it's used by people to help with withdraw from opiates and such. I'm not expert on it but I do read, an ask questions.
Anyhow...good on you for not going with the pill route. Lots of people do an just trade one issue for several others.
Anything that can cause rectal bleeding, death, or sudden lose of consciousness can't be a good thing.(side effects on some of those meds the media, docs, etc push!)
This useless information on Kratom brought to you by curious minds who have nothing better to do at times then learn random info for no good reason.
