My new 18 Cascadia has a leak somewhere above the windshield. Ran several hours in on/off rain few days ago, next day, some turns yield a new series of dripping onto the dash. F&ck!ng Freightliner. Never have been able to seal a truck against rain.
And the cab-side turn signal indicators are so dim and inconspicuous they are useless, a candle would burn brighter than these stupid things. I think some cars see this flashing and they think it has a lose wire for the running lights.
Won't mention any names, but I got screwed on a broker load. Had burned up all but 8 hours of my 70 in the prior 6 days and had to "sit" ... with a load that could not sit if it was to be delivered by Friday afternoon. No repower was done, and now I have to sit for about a day and a half waiting on monday/tuesday to get both drops off. Half way through pay period will only have 2,400 miles and effectively ran through two resets.
But it did allow me to break 36k miles for the quarter, but barely. -
I don't think I'll be hitting the 36k miles... Did like 2 or 3 resets in the last two months I've been out. Same situation as you. We'll see how it goes. And my Freightliner gets water in from the floor cup holder screw holes... It's dried now but if it rains bad again it might get wet lol..

I've done many job site deliveries with flatbed, a few with dry van, but today I did one with reefer.
Dropped a [dry] load of 55 gallon drums to a large pipeline job site in the western Pennsylvania sticks. Had to pull them out with a chain and was a little slow but they were good people, all up from Texas.
Also did one of my fastest reloads today too. Got there 3 hours early. Was immediately assigned a door. 35 minutes later I'm loaded and bills in hand. (Frozen novelty treats loaded at a cold storage in western PA)
That quick load really made this trip a LOT easier to manage with eLogs. -
Oh boy ..... I have 45:25 left on my 70. Don't get recap hours until Tuesday. have 1 unload Columbus, GA early AM, 1 load Thursday late AM in Anderson, SC, and 1 drop off Friday in Memphis, and a total of 2600 miles to a final on Monday morning in Carson. Gotta go around Atlanta TWICE, Birmingham, Memphis, and no telling how many potential crash backups hot-spots. But I actually think I can dodge the potential rush hours for the most part, if the plan holds together.
Getting the final is not my biggest concern. Biggest concern is emptying in Carson, CA with only maybe an hour left. But if they move the final appointment to Tuesday AM, then I don't get it paid this current pay period. And the first half of this pay period kinda sucked due to appointment and HOS coordination issues and a weekend, so this would bring me back to my 6k goal.
Anyway, I'll need to get somewhere close to Carson Sunday night but not too familiar with that area for parking or hotel. I've stayed at a hotel in Long Beach but don't recall where it was. Doesn't look like there is any at/near the 09:00 receiver (Herbalife) -
That is a sweet load if you can get it off. I'm hoping to get this load off at 2am in Arlington then hopefully some thing good for the weekend. Once this is off will be at 2400 with 4 days to go. Hopefully at least 700 miles afterward. Put me over 3000
