I think you are wrong it takes years to get good at it, it has taken me almost a year to get better..... It's not an easy job. To get really good takes several years.
I doubt too many people can climb into one of these things and be proficient in one week.
Now a McDonald's worker, probably less then a week.
Trucking is more difficult and far more stressful the serving fries. It's worth more money, traditionally it always has paid more money. It should continue to pay more.
Truck driving should be classified as a professional, skilled career. It takes time to learn this job, that's what we call a skill.
If minimum wage goes up to 15 bucks an hour?

Human time is worth a lot. If someone is doing something basically worthless I'd love to force them to try to find something else. Worst case they become fully worthless. Seems like we aren't risking much on that?Toomanybikes Thanks this. -

Being a brand new truck driver has a lot more in common with being general basic labor on a construction site. Yeah it's a ####ty job that pays ####, but if you stick around and get some skills the money will come.Coover Thanks this.
