Me personally i dont like to talk on the phone that much, so it doesn't bother me....

Some have to always be on the phone when driving at night. But that should be up to the driver and not some pencil pusher trying to save the company a few bucks so he can have a larger bonus.
You might not mind it but a ban on Bluetooth and CB with a camera in my face is ridiculous. I wouldn't put up with it.
And one doesn't have to. Most other LTLs don't make those demands from their drivers.Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
Yet....
-
Forward facing cameras will eventually be adopted by most companies. Driver facing cameras by a few. But I don't see a bluetooth and CB ban going anywhere except Saia.
That's going too far. -
I'd have to call this pretty sad if it's true.

My terminal.has alot.of 10 plus year drivers....probably 7 of them are 20 plus years...
-
Only 8 years because they fire you before you can hit 10 where they have to give you free health insurance.
They fired a whole bunch of senior guys a year or two ago. -
Thankfully since some of us run days, we don't have to worry about "staying awake at night".
Otherwise, we certainly don't want the "great unwashed" talking to each other on the road. -
Guess rubber neck dont understand the word average
-
Well, to me "average" would to imply a majority of them. Where else would the number come from?
I have 13 years with my outfit and still have about 17 guys above me.
