And he had no registration or insurance. Imagine if the trucker had no registration or insurance!

Hey allniter, I can understand your anguish, but I'm sure this happened fast. We, as truck drivers face this scenario every time we climb behind the wheel. We can't have zero risk out there, and can't forget, something like this can happen. Ok, the guy hauling whatever with a ton of violations, that's nothing new. I'm sure many of the people that pass you have some kind of infraction against them. My point is, ANY vehicle can have a tire failure, sending the vehicle who knows where. I commend this tanker yanker for at least keeping it in the roadway, and not through the median himself, causing MORE of a disaster. This driver experienced what we all dread. Hope he's ok.

I just wonder if Mr Bushigo ever thought about pretrips. Sounded like the van wasnt all that up to snuff.

Tho I am glad that the 8300 gallons of fuel didnt become a inferno

This is one of the reasons why they have state inspections on motor vehicles where I live.

something that most car drivers can't do is drive defensively. Yeah and swerve to avoid one incident only to cause something far far worse.
