    Hello all.

Got a 2011 cascadia with a hydraulic clutch. Fluid level is showing max.

Went to start the truck and noticed pedal throw to be quite shorter than usual; about half of normal travel. Engine started no problem. Drove a few hundred miles, shut engine down for 30min break. When i came back, engine wouldn't turn over and clutch pedal travel was shorter than earlier. I shoved my foot on the pedal and got it to go down further and was able to start engine. Pedal stayed down. I pulled on it and it popped out/up.

I can still get in and out of gear, and start to roll, but clutch feels grabby with very little pedal release.

    I appreaciate any help. Thanks!

If you've never replaced them, you may need a new master or slave cylinder soon.

If you're a long way away from home I would try to get it looked at ASAP, as it already is giving you trouble and once you lose any use of the hydraulics of the clutch, it will leave you stranded.

The money you could've used to repair your truck will now be spent instead on a tow bill.

How old is your clutch, it could also be a worn clutch plate?

I would still recommended replacing the master and slave as preventive maintenance, as there's a piston inside that eventually gets so worn that it will lock up your clutch pedal so you can't even push it down and you will be stranded.........and you will either need a tow or a mobile mechanic to fix it.

It happened to me with my hydraulic clutch and it wasn't fun.

I can imagine. As of this reply, have made it 650 miles. Pedal has about an inch if travel left in it. I think plate is ok for now. Am able to out in gear pretty easily and take off is good. I'm about 50 miles from home. Have been parking on slopes so i dont have to use the clutch pedal much. Its been a long night. Thanks for your responses! Looks like i will be doing repair myself once i get home to my big tool box.... i hope i don't have to go buy a tranny jack on a Saturday.

    boneebone Thanks this.
