The wildfires in N. CA and the new one in Anaheim have dumped more soot & particles into the atmosphere than all the cars driving in CA for a year (according to some professor at some university paid by CARB). In their infinite wisdom, CARB has announced that any new fires will require a DPF. Anyone who starts a fire will see a little white pick up with a blue pop-up nearby to test the air quality. Those responsible will be fined accordingly. :D

Don't give them any ideas. They may well think it's necessary. Worse than cattle farts even

I've yet to have seen a CARB enforcement of any kind in California, but I have seen lots of trucks that are well over 10 years old.

    mhyn and Bakerman Thank this.

I see them very often. Last time I saw they were checking trucks in Sun Valley, CA on Glenoaks Ave. These MFs don't touch out of state trucks usually. They stop and write on CA plated trucks..

I stopped in Indianapolis Freightliner and asked how much are Reman DPFs for DD15. They gave my quote and asked to bring the old ones. I drove home took out DPFs and went to Los Angeles Freightliner to buy Reman DPfs. I was shocked whem the salesmen told me that OEM Reman DPFs are illegal in California. They showed me CARB Executive order # blablabla showing that... If God would exist CARB kind of #### would not exist in this world.

I don't know about cows but septic tank trucks must be equipped with some kind of breather valve/filters in Cali. That device is about $15k..

I've had guys tell me they get them baked for $200.
There's lots of places now that just do DPF service.

I know . If you do bake and blow 30% of ash stays inside. Remans are 95% clean and they are $400 exchange. Remans go longer. Clamps are expensive too and need to be replaced every time you take off DPFs..
