This is a great opportunity for an over-the-road truck driver to earn $0.45 per mile paid every week. plus 50% profit sharing paid every month. At the end of the 12 months the truck is yours . You heard that right! I am an owner operator looking to get back to my previous profession I'm looking for somebody to take over this truck for 12 months 50% profit at the end of the month goes to you. And at the end of the truck loan, the truck and trailer is yours. Reliable truck and trailer.

    KNIGHTRIDER/AR-15 and x1Heavy Thank this.

So you want out of trucking but don't want to let the truck go back to dealer or it hit your credit?

So what kind of trk and trl are we talking about? Year, milage ect. What freight, freight lanes, avg. miles per month? Ya know the general information most would consider pertinent to this kind of offer.

Wow. Sounds like a great opportunity. I just made this account to get in contact with you. I have 3 years' / 48 states' + Canada / flatbed / covered wagon / Conestoga experience and a mind for business.

Like I just said, I'm newly-registered on this site so I don't know the messaging system yet. I think you can PM me, though. Please do!

    Thanks.

45 cpm with a monthly profit sharing is akin to working for a company at 45 cpm with health benifits. Both TMC and Maverick pay more than that for a guy with 3 years clean driving.

Think before you leap into this. It might be a decent deal, but dollars to doughnuts you'll be very unhappy in 6 months.

    What about fuel?

What about vehicle insurance, Cargo liability? Who holds the bag when the engine dies 100 miles from Sheridan for a tow? Does that make you the one who pays or me who has not yet completed a year to own that tractor free and clear?

How is OSD handled, who dispatches freight and so on.

What about the fuel? Tires and so on....

Questions for you. If I did not ask them, I would not know eh?

Nah I'm not going to over analyze it.

If he takes me on, I'm all in. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, right?

Except this isn't a gift, it's a job offer. Even if it were a gift horse, I can see it looks mangey and I'd keep it away from the rest of my livestock until it has a clean bill of health.

If his o/o gig is so great, why is he leaving it? Why not sell the truck instead of having ano employee for a year? What are his current margins? If the truck is making $1.60/mile, with expenses of .95/mile (truck payment, fixed and variable) you'll be making 55 cpm with no health benifits. That's a rosey picture. Drop the revenue or increase expenses and you'll be making mega carrier van rates in a hurry. Who is dispatching/finding freight? How much transparency will there be (see x1heavy's post above).

If you want to get into your own truck, go ahead. Plenty of advice on the site about how to do it well. Situations like this tend not to work out in the driver's favor.

Not knowing you I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I have to assume you're trolling at this point.
