Hello
I been getting the expedite now mag in the mail. Can I drive expedite OTR with a class b?
Been interested in driving one of those cool looking trucks.
The ones with the full OTR cab with all the stuff a mobil home has, with only a 20foot box on the back.
The ads claim .80 to a buck a mile plus fsc.
In the classifieds under drivers wanted.
OO are looking for drivers willing to pay 60% and up.
Are we talking 40 grand a year?
Are the hours of service the same?

My wife and I got into expedite driving for a while. I have a class A but she wanted to drive as well and wasn't ready to handle a tractor trailer so she got her class B license. They usually want teams to drive thier trucks since most of the freight they haul is hot and should have been there yesterday, plus running teams you get more miles and better paying freight. Yes, the hours of service are the same and you do have to run a log book. It pays excellent money and the trucks can be awesome. Our first truck was a small Freightliner 660 or something like that with a 80 inch sleeper, it was ok, but our second truck was a Century Class Freightliner with a 95" sleeper it was very comfortable and had alot of the amenities of home. However the hard running wasn't for us after my wife had our second child. You will not get home very often at all, maybe once a month if you are lucky and then only for a couple of days. If you want to know anything else I will be happy to answer your questions.

What are the chances of running solo?
What company were you with?
How much pay should one expect running solo if posible? -
We were driving for Tri-State Expedited up there around Toledo, Oh. I have seen a couple of people that were running solo, but I wouldn't imagine that you would make much money at all. Probably would be sitting more often than not simply because the majority of loads need to get there now, so if there is a team truck available they will always be offered a hot load first. Some expedite companys will offer to team you up with a person in orientation, but if at all possible I would try to encourage a friend, spouse or someone that you can stand to be around for awhile to team up with you.

Rambling Rebel, how much did it cost to get started? And what about those little sprinters? can you make money with them? Thanks

Sprinters can make money but there are too many of them so you wait a lot . The next 4 or 5 months will be real slow . Not a good time to get started .
