Anyone from North America on a 300/309 visa?

    Title pretty much sums it up.. I'm looking for other people who migrated to AU (specifically QLD) from Canada/US.. Curious if anyone had trouble finding work because employers are reluctant to hire a temp visa holder, and what your process was for transferring your licence over.

    they still have the 457 k visa and the working holiday visa system operating here the holiday visa is only valid for 18 months and is not supposed be permanent full time work, however i think because of some farming industries being short staffed they've made an exemption and allowed work visa holders to continue to work, one would have to go to aussie immigration web site to check out all the legal details.

    yeah i'm talking about the prospective marriage visa which i'm here on, about to be partner visa which will be permanent at least so companies will take it more serious

    no one wants to hire a temp visa holder
