Hi all just looking to pull the trigger on an all-in-one ELD system and am looking for feedback on Omnitracs IVG. Much appreciated!

Interested to hear the feedback on this one as well, our company just took delivery of these units and they'll be going on next time I'm through the shop... Anybody have experience with the IVG?

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

That's actually the system my carrier putting in the new trucks. Entire fleet runs Omnitracs, but older trucks have older interfaces. We don't have all the features activated. Just the logging and messaging and critical event recording but I'm sure the various other features are pretty solid, too if you want to pay for them. Omnitracs has been doing this a long time. I just don't see how you could go wrong. I'm sure it's a more costly initial investment then others, but it would be money well spent. If you're going to do it, do it right.

And with these there are ways to make minor movements without starting drive time as long as you provision it correctly.

    Regarding the IVG system:

Will virtually any USB keyboard work on these? And is a mouse pad any use? I find the screen keypad difficult to use for all but the shortest of messages.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

Well I spent $20 at Walmart for a basic wireless keyboard and it works fine. But the system won't allow any keyboard input unless and until you bring up the screen keyboard [even with the physical keyboard present]

But it's really not a big deal.

The keyboard I bought has a handy on/off switch to avoid issues while it's stowed perhaps with a key depressed.

    Jarhed1964 and Dieselboss Thank this.

I'm considering the IVG & XRS, anyone with any input on these?
