I can't speak for Farva but I can speak from experience regarding the flatbed. My last trainer's student was pulled off the truck during training to go to a flatbed trainer because he applied and was given a flatbed route. So in short order the answer is yes, but I believe it really has to do with which department/route you choose.
Werner offered me a job-good or bad?

thanks super,
I would really want to do flatbed if i went to werner. I mean yeah there are other flatbed carriers, but with werner at least i would have other options with in the company, if i wanted to change divisions or flabed freight really slowed up.
I guess it wouldnt hurt to call my recruiter and find out -
with the way companies arent hiring right now werner may be better than nothing

Is it at all possible to set up an East-Coast route? I live near the Lakeland, Florida Terminal and have family spread out through New England, my hometown being in Southern Maine. Have you ever heard of someone getting a route that allows for the possibility to have down time on either end of a route such as Florida to Maine?

As for how long you will have to wait, the answer is in the cards. There is no way to say since it depends on position openings. Besides 48 states, look into a regional route if being home is important to you. Check in weekly with driver placement and most of all be patient and keep your head up. Patience and a good attitude will go a long way.bigpapa7272 Thanks this. -
good advice super10 i plan on applying for flatbed early and staying persistent about it.

If you going to insist on going to work for warner then get on the otr fleet. not the dollar general or the dollar store accounts. I have known cl for 35 years and you can do good at warner if you use your head
